Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare
FEED package for Fire and Gas monitoring and control systems used in enclosed
hazardous environments.
Prepare
Basis of Design, Control Philosophy, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Electrical
Schematic Diagrams, Cable Schedule, Control Room Layout, etc. for Fire and Gas
systems using PLC based systems.
Prepare
Technical Specifications for Gas Detectors (H2S and Hydrocarbon), Flame
Detectors, Smoke Detectors, Fire and Gas Suppression Systems, Fire Safety
Management and Control System, and Fire and Gas Data Management and Networking
System.
Prepare
Fire and Gas Monitoring and Control system architect drawing.
Intimately
familiar with NFPA 72 and other fire and safety related standards.
Manage
and train a team of engineers and designers.
Prepare
Data Sheets and Loop Diagrams for Fire and Gas field sensors and control and
monitoring loops using Intools.
Prepare
Scope of Work for Fire and Gas Projects.
Identify
required resources for the engineering and design part of the project and
assign individual responsibilities.
Communicate
project objectives, drivers, scope, risks, and deliverables clearly to project
team members as well as client.
Execute
design and engineering within project approved budget and schedule as well as
quality and safety goals.
Prepare
progress reports.
Understand
gate controlled project execution methodology.
Manage
changes through a rigorous change management procedure.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor
of Science or Engineering preferably in Instrumentation or Electrical.
10-15
years’ experience as a Fire and Gas engineering specialist in
petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
Professional
Engineering registration in Fire and Gas or Electrical Engineering.
Alaska PE
license.
