Description

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of project data management services within a portfolio of projects working as a member of the Project Information Management team and reporting directly to an assigned Project Information Manager (PIM).

Key Responsibilities:

•Gather project engineering data requirements

•Interface and coordinate with systems administrators and data owners

•Identify business and technical data sources

•Develop data collection methods and procedures

•Configure and set up central repository system

•Ensure operation of an effective central tag management facility

•Ensure processes are in place to achieve data accuracy, completeness, and associations

•Facilitate data collection from project and engineering sources

•Validation of data completeness, quality and integrity

•Manage the data handover to the Customer (or other specified recipient) in accordance with the integrated data handover requirements

•Serve as a single-point-of-contact for the project team and customer team for the management of project data and the supporting applications

•Where required, lead a small team of Data Controllers

•Work to ensure that project information is delivered in a timely manner and appropriately handle customer feedback.

•Work with project information managers and data controllers to ensure that they have processes and procedures in place to maintain the quality of data.

Requirements

Job Requirements 

•Relevant professional experience gained from at least two different job roles related to engineering data management on engineering projects

•Excellent communication and influencing skills, across the whole project irrespective of seniority, organizational or contractual boundaries

•Team Leadership or management experience and desire to develop these through training and hands-on experience

•Experience using electronic data management systems for controlling and reporting project data

•Experience working with large engineering organizations and performing effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment

•Experience & IT skills working with the interfacing of information systems

•Engineering and/or Engineering Systems background

•Experience with databases and database programming PL/SQL

Desired Experience:

•Experience in Oil and Gas sector •IT systems and IT project management

•Engineering Data Management

•Information systems management and use

Experience managing project data and Engineering Systems Information in an EPC or O&G company
