MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible to the O&M Lead for
completing all work related to the Operating Procedures and Work Aids writing
and other Maintenance requirements for the project which includes all the
subprojects.
The Operations development engineer is an
executing engineer who guides the EPC contractor’s engineers in the
Procedure identification/classification, data collection, collation and finally
providing a complete input to the Company appointed procedure writers. He
reviews the EPC contractor input and finalizes the input for procedures for
submission to the Company.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Ensure all discipline activities are carried
out in a safe manner and with full compliance to the project specifications and
company requirements.
Obtain input and data from the Vendors via
the EPC contractor and subcontractor to enable planning, development and
execution of the Operating Procedures and Work Aids.
As a member of the Operability team, provides
support for the Maintenance development effort as per the Operability
Management Plan..
Provide guidance and leadership in all
matters relating to Operability and Coordinate all activities to complete the
following on schedule:
Preparation of maintenance Procedures.
Development of the O & M Manuals
Training Development in coordination with
Training Lead.
Responsible to the O&M Lead for
interacting with EPC contractor and Subcontractors. Coordinate with EPC contractor and major
vendors to obtain their contributions on schedule, and carry out the quality
checks on the input.
Participate in the company lead efforts for
carrying out Equipment Criticality Analysis, FMEA, and Task analysis and
procedures classification.
Provide input to the Training Lead to
develop the training programs to meet the company training requirements for the
plant Technicians.
Plan and schedule all the activities for the
Maintenance development effort, develop the schedules and progress monitoring
methods for the maintenance development deliverables. Contribute to the
management control reports
Liaise with the Company procedure writers
for all routine and non-routine matters.
Contribute towards continuous alignment of
objectives to achieve overall result within the budgeted man-hours.
Requirements
Preferably Technical education with 10-12
years’ experience in maintenance of Oil and Gas Industry. Experience in onshore and/or offshore working
is a further advantage.
High safety awareness is mandatory.
In-depth knowledge of:
Relevant applicable specifications, codes,
and appropriate safety criteria
Oil and Gas facilities maintenance and
operational practices and procedures.
Oil industry practices, processes, and
expectations with respect to maintenance and operating philosophies and
practices.
CMMS work order system.
Technical writing skills, related to the
procedures writing and compilation of O&M manuals
Previous successful work experience in the
operating an oil and gas or LNG plant. Knowledge of Off-Shore and production systems is essential and offshore
work experience is an advantage. Must also possess an ability
to work in harsh and inclement conditions.
Expert technical skills and judgment.
Fully conversant with the Industry standards
for onshore and offshore safety and the safety/Lock out procedures.
Demonstrated ability to develop successful
working relationships and become a team player
Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs.
Read, write, and speak fluent English,
especially as required to function effectively within a project team and to
communicate with project management, contractors, and sub-contractors
Interpersonal Skills:
Requires an outstanding ability to interact
with customers with diverse backgrounds.
Must be an excellent facilitator and must
exhibit mature judgment in conjunction with sound and analytical reasoning.
Requires ability to perform well during
periods of adversity.
Must exhibit strong verbal and written
communication skills.
Must be willing to live and work in
fabrication facility, construction camp, and offshore environment.
