Description
Quality Assurance Representative (Engineer)
Develop project audit (assessment) schedules
and project assurance plans
Performance audits of internal and external
Engineering teams and suppliers / sub-contractors
Participates in the review of all design,
manufacturing, purchasing and test documentation to ensure applicable quality
requirements and acceptance criteria are fulfilled
Overall coordination and monitoring of
project quality related activities.
Monitoring and tracking of project
Corrective Actions. Reporting of quality data to project management team.
Ensure project personnel are suitably
trained in project plan requirements and to access and apply dependent systems,
procedures and reference materials via the Project Web Site,
Provide training in company systems to
project team.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
BS in Engineering with thorough knowledge of
applicable theories, practices, and accepted Engineering and Quality
procedures. Generally 10-15 years of experience with 5 year’s experience
in the Oil and Gas industry.
Must hold certification as a Lead Auditor
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 9011
Possesses and is recognized as an expert
within area of focus. Uses best practices to solve functional issues and
improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business
challenges. Participates in plan implementation. Independently works through
individual projects and/or plays key role in broader projects. Relies on
systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of
the work being performed to solve problems.
Advanced proficiency with applicable
software applications in related field. Advanced analytical and problem solving
skills. Accuracy and attention to detail critical. Ability to meet deadlines
and manage priorities is critical.
Strong written and verbal communication
skills in English are critical. Usually able to explain why things are done they
way they are within a broader organizational context. Proficiently communicate
ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as
needed. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented
environment. Ability to maintain confidential information is critical.
Generally characterized as a "Independent
Contributor" with ability to discover issues and recommend solutions to
business problems uncovered during course of performing assignments. Able to
work independently on the more varied and complex tasks and/or functional
leadership without direct supervision as needed. Provides expertise and
guidance to less experienced individuals. Typically will regularly interface
with departmental staff and lower, middle and upper management, and frequently
with outside customers.
