Description
The successful candidate will be in a project leadership role, and will
be expected to be capable of supervising process safety and fire protection
engineers and specialists. This position will require a broad knowledge
and progressive experience in E&C project execution. Final review and
sign off on all process safety and fire protection activities will be required
by the successful candidate.
Requirements
1. BS or MS in Chemical Engineering
preferred. However, other applicable engineering disciplines will be
considered on a case by case basis. Professional certification or license
is a plus
2. 5 to 10 years experience in an offshore
environment is preferred, however, equivalent experience in hydrocarbon PSM
activities and an MS in Chemical Engineering would be considered.
3. Progressive experience in working within,
and/or supervising, multi-discipline activities desirable
4. Demonstrated Proficiencies with process
safety and fire protection software required
5. Strong organizational skills as well as the
ability to effectively communicate in English is required
6. Ability to take a leadership role over the
group for which supervisory responsibilities have been assigned is required
7. Ability to meet deadlines and manage
priorities required
8. Ability to prepare, present, and/or supervise
the development of complex process safety and fire protection proposals and
reports is required
9. Commitment to customer service and ability to
assist others in applying knowledge and understanding in solving complex
problems related to process safety and fire protection is required
10. Advise and direct the process safety and fire protection group
in the creation of engineering calculations, analysis, and studies is
considered critical
11. Ability to review and comment on subordinates work, the
ability to know when to involve other specialists is critical
12. Ability to mentor new graduates, junior engineers,
technicians, and other process safety/fire protection specialists is required
