Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting
to the In Province Execution Director, this position will be responsible for
site management and oversight of DES module fabrication operations. The
position will also serve as the Senior Representative for Company at the Module
Fabrication Site.
The
Site Manager will develop and implement management, planning, safety, and
quality systems consistent with the requirements of the project policies.
The
site manager is responsible for executing the work in accordance with the SSHE
and quality standards and requirements specified for the project. This
position shall play an active role in the safety culture on the project, making
safety a natural part of the work performed.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Assist in
preparation of the module fabrication RFP (EMDC contract), bidder
pre-qualification, and contractor selection.
Assist in creation
and coordination of the fabrication, plans and schedules, as well as monitor
activities, progress, and milestones
Monitors and
controls contractor change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are
quickly and properly documented, communicated to engineering and the client,
and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of the work
Monitors and
controls fabrication cost and schedule
Perform basic
project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of
procedures, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems
Advises project
management and the client regarding developments that could affect project
profit, schedule, costs, client relations, and public relations
Provide
coordination between design and procurement/construction for integration of
technical content and schedule activities
Coordinate design
efforts with vendors and licensors to assure proper and complete integration
Conduct and/or
coordinate meetings related to project operations, internal issue resolution,
and communications with the client
Prepares monthly
and weekly status reports for the project to keep the client and project
management informed of construction progress and the status of costs and
schedule as related to the budgets and previous forecasts
Assure
compliance with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe
work habits
Requirements
EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Construction or Engineering degree with 20 years of construction
industry experience or equivalent.
Experience with large scale module fabrication.
Drilling
module fabrication experience preferred (DES/DSM)
Experience
with modularization,
Commitment to the support of SSHE and quality philosophies and programs
at site.
